Hand and wrist pain often develop due to injury or repetitive use of the hand and wrist joints. Three of the most common causes include:

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the main nerve serving your hand, the median nerve, becomes compressed within the tunnel of bones inside your wrist. It’s often due to wear-and-tear.
